    About A. Popescu

    I’ve always watched people around me to see how they make their decisions. How they choose their style, their projects, their directions, their artistic signatures.
    I found hesitation distasteful. I still do.
    I decided quickly that I would build myself as a person, as a character first and then let that drive and define my artistic journey.
    As that journey is still ongoing, the projects I've directed are always different, ever experimenting with new text, techniques and approaches.
    The results are always a bit of a mix: a touch of classic, a dash of contemporary, a framework of current relevance and an ever present thread of the absurd.

    • Currently attending doctoral studies with a paper on the construction of maleficent characters at the University of Bucharest, Philosophy Studies.
